Is it full?

Seorang profesor filsafat ketika sedang memberikan kuliah mengeluarkan sebuah botol mayones yang sudah kosong. Kemudian ia mengeluarkan beberapa batu yang kemudian diisikannya ke botol itu. Ketika sudah dua batu diisikan, sudah tak ada tempat lagi bagi batu ketiga. Ia bertanya pada mahasiswanya apakah botol itu sudah penuh? Mahasiwanya mengiyakan. Kemudian ia mengambil kerikil kecil. Dimasukkannya kerikil itu ke botol dan botol itu dikocok-kocoknya. Kerikil-kerikil itu akhirnya masuk bergulir memenuhi ruang di antara batu-batu itu. Sekali lagi ia bertanya apakah botol itu penuh? Mahasiswanya menjawab ya. Lalu profesor itu mengambil pasir dan menuangkannya ke botol. Setelah botol itu diguncang-guncangkan beberapa kali, pasir itu masuk mengisi ruang yang masih tersisa memenuhi botol.
One day, a philosophy professor brought an empty mayonnaise bottle to his class. He took few stones from his bag and putted them into that empty mayonnaise bottle. There’s no place for stone again at the bottle after two stones in. He asked to his students that is the bottle fulled, and they said yes. Then he took small pebbles, and putted them in to the bottle with the two stone, and shaken up. The pebbles rolled through the stone and filled the empty space. After that he asked the same question, and still the students said yes. The professor then took sands and putted them into the same bottle. After he shaked it up few times, the sand filled the empty space on that bottle.

Botol ini mengibaratkan hidup Anda.
Batu-batu ini adalah hal-hal yang paling penting dalam hidup kamu yaitu , keluarga, kesehatan, anak-anak Anda.
Kerikil-kerikil ini adalah hal-hal lain yang juga penting dalam hidup Anda, misalnya pekerjaan, pengetahuan, ketrampilan Anda.
Pasir adalah hal-hal lain seperti hobby dan kesenangan Anda.
This bottle is like your life.
The stones are the important things in your life; family, healthy, children.
The pebbles are the other important things in your life; job, knowledge, skills.
And the sands are hobby and your pleasure.

Bila Anda memasukkan kerikil dan pasir terlebih dahulu maka tak ada ruang lagi buat batu.
If you putted the pebbles and sands first, there’s no room left for the stone.

Begitu juga dengan hidup Anda. Bila Anda mencurahkan seluruh energi dan waktu Anda untuk hal-hal yang kecil, materi, kedudukan, kesenangan, maka Anda tak mempunyai ruang lagi untuk hal yang benar-benar penting dalam hidup Anda.
So does your life. If you used all your energy and time for small things, material, position, pleasure, then there’s no room left for the most important things in your life.
Berikan prioritas pada hal yang terpenting. Beri perhatian pada isteri atau suami dan anak-anak Anda. Dan jangan lupa berikan pula waktu bagi Dia yang memelihara Anda.
Decide your priority. Give much attention, love and care to your wife and the children. And do not forget to take a time with your God.
